Your role

We are seeking an innovative OT Framework IIoT Architect to play a pivotal role in designing and implementing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions within our Operational Technology (OT) framework. This position is crucial to our infrastructure enhancement project, as you will be responsible for leveraging IIoT technologies to improve the efficiency, resilience, and sustainability of our water infrastructure.


In this role you will play a key role in:



  • Develop and maintain the overall IIoT architecture within Water's OT framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and AMP8 goals.
  • Design scalable and secure IIoT solutions that integrate with existing OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and industrial control networks.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for IIoT implementation in strategic pipeline developments and water recycling center upgrades.
  • Create detailed technical specifications and design documents for IIoT solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend IIoT devices, sensors, and communication protocols that enhance water infrastructure monitoring and control.
  • Ensure IIoT solutions contribute to improving resilience to climate change and enhancing ecological quality in line with AMP8 objectives.
  • Work closely with the cyber security team to ensure IIoT implementations adhere to security best practices and standards.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in IT/OT systems, with at least 5 years focused on IIoT architectures and implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of IIoT technologies, protocols (e.g., MQTT, LoRaWAN), and edge computing.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and services for IIoT data management and analytics.
  • Familiarity with OT systems, including SCADA, PLCs, and industrial control networks.
  • Understanding of network architectures and communication protocols used in industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning applications in IIoT contexts.
  • Experience in designing and implementing IIoT solutions for critical infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST SP 800‑82) for secure IIoT deployments.
