Job Overview

The RAC is seeking a Mobile Mechanic to deliver vehicle maintenance and diagnostics directly to customers. This role brings first‑class service wherever they are.


Responsibilities

  • You are someone who gets people, interacting with customers on driveways and upholding RAC standards.
  • You manage a daily mix of servicing, diagnostics, repairs and checks, stock, reporting and customer communications.
  • You think on your feet, making correct decisions for each customer while handling varied fixes and faces.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years' hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles.
  • A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of £40,170 with on‑target earnings up to £52,000.
  • Guaranteed overtime option to increase base salary to £44,385, plus additional overtime and bonus opportunities.
