About this Role Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer or Mobile Mechanic looking for a role with autonomy, variety, and real purpose? This Field Service Engineer role within Environmental Municipal Civil covers a defined regional patch, ideal for mobile technicians, plant engineers, and HGV mechanics who enjoy working out in the field and being trusted to get the job done. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of specialist municipal and civil assets, supporting customers who deliver essential services every day and keeping communities operational. Service, diagnose, and repair Dawsongroup EMC owned assets including road sweepers, tankers, grabs, RCVs, tippers, forklifts, and specialist vehicles Attend breakdowns and service calls efficiently to minimise downtime for customers Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults Complete PMI inspections and maintain accurate electronic job records via PDA Manage your own workload, time, and vehicle stock effectively About You You are practical, solutions focused, and comfortable working independently, with a proactive approach to problem solving. Whether your background is municipal, plant, HGV, or industrial equipment, we are interested in transferable skills and a willingness to learn. Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification or equivalent hands on experience Full UK driving licence Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems Confidence diagnosing diesel engines and electrical faults Comfortable using diagnostic tools and technology If you do not meet every requirement listed, please still apply.
