Chapman Recruitment are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technical Manager with a specialism in HVAC, pipework, plantrooms and building services to lead mechanical construction operations across a portfolio of projects in London. This senior role carries full responsibility for operational delivery, commercial performance, and regional growth within the mechanical division.

You will oversee multiple live projects, support business development, and ensure all mechanical works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Mechanical Technical Manager Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage day-to-day mechanical construction projects to achieve margins, budgets, and KPIs.

* Provide strong leadership to project managers, engineers, and site teams.

* Work with the operations director and senior leadership to set regional objectives and delivery plans.

* Ensure high client satisfaction, promoting repeat business.

* Review and approve mechanical estimates and tenders to protect profitability.

* Monitor contracts: variations, cost forecasts, claims, and final accounts.

* Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

* Identify new business opportunities and contribute to winning contracts.

* Mentor and develop teams through training and performance management.

* Attend management, commercial, and project review meetings.
