Mechanical Fitter - Temporary with the potential to become permanent
Corby - Northamptonshire UK
£28,500 - £32,500 per annum
Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 Friday 07:30 - 13:30

Are you looking for a hands-on role where quality matters? We are currently looking for people who have previously worked as Mechanical Fitters, Mechanical Technicians, Engineering Fitters or Mechanical Engineers to join a well-established engineering company. Our client has over 20 year\'s experience producing premium, durable products that help customers work smarter, safer, and more efficiently.

The Role
  • To carry out heavy mechanical fitting and mechanical assembly work.
  • Work from diagrams and technical specifications
  • Check quality at every stage, raising any issues before products move forward
  • Complete all relevant paperwork & inspection records
  • Keep your work area safe, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety standards
Experience and Skills
  • Have previously worked within a mechanical engineering or mechanical fitting role.
  • Be able to read technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Be able to assemble frames, gears, bearings, brackets, and sub‑assemblies
  • Use hand tools and power tools (wrenches, drills, torque tools, etc.)
  • Align, fit, and secure parts using bolts, screws, rivets, or adhesives
  • Perform basic machining or finishing (deburring, drilling, tapping)
