Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading engineering company in their search for a Mechanical Fitter to work in their leading facility in Telford.

For the successful Mechanical Fitter our client is offering:

  • Starting salary up to £32,000 - DOE
  • Days position 7:45am-5pm Monday to Thursday with a 12:45pm finish on Fridays
  • Permanent position within a well-established engineering business
  • OTE up to £40,000 per annum with overtime regularly available
  • Favourable working environment working on a variety of projects
  • 23 days holiday (rising to 25 after year 1) plus bank holidays

The Role - Mechanical Fitter:

  • Assembling a variety of Robotic/Automated equipment from start to finish
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Use of hand/power tools to assemble products
  • Working within a team to build equipment
  • Fitting & Installation of equipment at customer premises, including worldwide travel when required
  • Use of machinery within the workshop
  • This position could involve travelling up to 2/3 times a year (Usually 2 weeks at a time)
  • Providing guidance to Junior members of the team

What our client is looking for in a Mechanical Fitter;

  • Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Fitter - ESSENTIAL
  • Qualified or Apprentice Trained in a Mechanical Field - DESIRABLE
  • Ability to work away from home as there will be Worldwide travel involved, however this is minimal at the moment
  • Full UK Licence & Passport - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to read from drawings
  • Someone mechanically minded, good with hand and power tools
