Position: Mechanical Fitter

TERM: Permanent

LOCATION: East Grinstead

SALARY: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a specialist engineering company supplying bespoke machinery and mechanical systems. They are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in East Grinstead.

• Assemble and fit mechanical components and systems
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly
• Install, test, and commission machinery and equipment
• Carry out maintenance and repairs as required
• Liaise with engineers and production teams to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

• Experience as a mechanical fitter in a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficiency in assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience working with a range of tools and mechanical components
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
