Join an established engineering business specialising in building material handling equipment in Telford as a Mechanical Fitter. Shifts: Days Mon - Fri

What You Will Do:

  • Fit and assemble machine component parts, showcasing your precision and attention to detail.
  • Install hydraulic components and pipework on machines, enhancing functionality and performance.
  • Conduct machine setting and testing duties, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics, translating technical documents into actionable tasks.
  • Utilize manual and power tools effectively, maintaining safety and efficiency.
  • Engage in daily Toolbox talks, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

What You Will Bring:

  • A recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification.
  • Proficient use of engineering hand tools, portable power tools, and basic machine tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A thorough understanding of general arrangement and detailed drawings, as well as hydraulic schematics.
  • A positive attitude towards Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Procedures.
