Job Title: Mechanical Field Service Engineer

Location: Gloucester

Pay Range/details: Up to £40000 per annum depending on experience plus overtime and company benefits

Contract Type: Permanent Full time

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join one of our growing client based in Gloucester

Key Responsibilities - Mechanical Field Service Engineer

  • Deliver maintenance services and repairs to pellet mill equipment across farming biomass energy waste and milling environments throughout the UK
  • Carry out planned maintenance inspections breakdown response and repairs on gearboxes drive shafts hydraulics pumps motors conveyors and associated heavy machinery
  • Work closely with customers on site to maximise production and minimise downtime
  • Identify underperforming equipment and capacity limitations and communicate findings to engineering and sales teams
  • Manage time effectively to meet customer deadlines while working as part of a flexible and dedicated service team

Qualifications & Requirements - Mechanical Field Service Engineer

  • Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles troubleshooting and preventative maintenance techniques
  • Experience maintaining gearboxes bearings and associated rotating equipment
  • Engineering based qualification or equivalent overseas qualification
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work away from home

  • Overtime including call out and weekend work paid at enhanced rates
  • 40 hour working week with early finish on Fridays when depot based
