As a Mechanical Engineer, you will join the business in a succession-focused role, working closely alongside the Engineering Manager to ensure continuity of technical expertise within the organisation. This position is designed with long-term progression in mind, offering a clear pathway toward a senior technical role.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Engineering Manager, shadowing and developing under their guidance. You will gain in-depth technical and product knowledge, supporting ongoing projects while building the capability required to sustain and strengthen the organisation’s engineering function for the future.

Your main role will be to shadow the Engineering Manager, assist with technical queries and product specifications, provide engineering support to internal teams and customers and progressively take ownership of technical decision-making.

Hydraulics is the heart of their business; our ideal candidate will have some knowledge/experience of Hydraulics. However, the company is a big investor in you, and you will have the opportunity to build your knowledge of hydraulic systems and components along the way.

You will need to have an Engineering Qualification along with experience working within the engineering industry under your belt. Alongside this, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, clear communication and the motivation to learn and develop within a specialist technical field.
