Mechanical Engineer
Location: Dungannon
We're looking for a proactive Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team and keep our production lines running at their best. You'll work independently, solve complex mechanical issues, and support continuous improvement across a fast-paced food manufacturing site.
What You'll Do

  • Deliver hands-on welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs
  • Work with mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete key documentation
  • Diagnose faults and re-engineer equipment to improve performance
  • Provide technical support and advice to production teams

What You'll Bring
Essential:

  • Time/skill-served Mechanical Engineer with industrial experience
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a mechanical discipline
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
  • Experience in welding, fabrication, and mechanical drive systems
  • Confident decision-making and good reasoning skills

Desirable:

  • Food or poultry processing experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Strong communication, organisation, and initiative
