Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Scheduler to join our dynamic team at J.M.R. Electric Ltd. The Mechanical and Electrical Scheduler is responsible for the development, coordination, and management of project schedules specifically for Mechanical and Electrical systems in construction projects. The role ensures that M&E works are planned and executed in line with the overall project timeline, identifying potential delays and working closely with Project Managers and construction teams to maintain timely delivery. In addition to supporting major projects, the M&E Scheduler will independently manage small-scale projects as needed.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed M&E schedules
  • Integrate M&E works into the overall master construction schedule.
  • Work closely with project engineers, subcontractors, and site supervisors to gather input and update schedules accordingly.
  • Monitor progress of M&E activities and identify potential delays or risks to the schedule.
  • Generate look-ahead schedules (weekly/monthly) and coordinate with site teams.
  • Liaise with procurement to ensure materials and equipment delivery aligns with schedule requirements.
  • Prepare progress reports, charts, and presentations for internal and client review.
  • Assist in claims and extension-of-time (EOT) documentation related to M&E delays.
  • Implement changes to schedule based on design revisions, site conditions, or client changes.
  • Attend planning, coordination, and project review meetings

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or other Mechanical or Electrical-related programs from a recognized college or technical institution.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in M&E scheduling or planning within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction sequencing.
  • Familiar with construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
