If you're an ambitious Product Designer looking to build your career within a well-established UK manufacturing environment, this is your opportunity to join a respected manufacturer with over five decades of expertise in delivering award‑winning lighting solutions. This full‑time permanent role based on‑site five days per week at the Worcester manufacturing facility will give you an opportunity to expand your current product design knowledge. You'll be part of an established Product Development Team, gaining hands‑on exposure to real manufacturing processes, materials and product lifecycles, not just designing on screen, but seeing your ideas come to life on the production floor. This role is paying circa £28,000.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with product design and engineering teams on product discovery
  • Taking product designs from concept through to completion
  • Managing and maintaining up‑to‑date CAD files, assemblies and technical drawings
  • Creating technical documentation and assembly instructions
  • Preparing Bills of Materials and full manufacturing packages
  • Fault‑finding and problem‑solving design issues
  • Improving assembly methods
  • Supporting continuous improvement across products and processes

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree Qualification in Product Design or a similar discipline
  • A graduate or someone with 1‑2 year's product design experience
  • Strong proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes including metal machining, injection moulding and aluminium extrusion
  • Confident working with parts, assemblies and production documentation
  • Numerate, computer literate and highly detail‑focused
  • Positive, proactive and forward‑thinking mindset
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills
