Job Title – Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Location – North Co. Derry / Londonderry

Salary – £30K - £35K

INFORM3 are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join for our client company based in North Co. Derry / Londonderry. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual wishing to progress in their career within an ambitious, growing enterprise.

Duties Include
  • To develop and maintain mechanical and electrical design drawings using CAD Software packages.
  • Create detailed drawings and BOMs for production & logistics.
  • Ability to determine the operational requirements and be able to propose solutions.
  • Design and implement process improvements for existing automation equipment.
  • Make sure that all design work is completed and to acceptable standards and confirmed with senior manager.
  • Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
  • Liaison with R&D to improve efficiencies
  • Produce mechanical designs from concept to production drawings in line with customer needs and business objectives.
  • To complete all relevant documentation to the highest of standards and ensure it is accurate.
  • Communicate effectively with the manufacturing team to ensure that all projects are running smoothly and effectively.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are took into consideration throughout the design process.
Essential Criteria
  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience working within a Design role.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise.
  • Working with design packages, CAD, ProE, etc
  • Previous SAP experience.
  • Preferable experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Requirement to both works on-site and to travel for business.
  • Full clean driving license.
