Mechanical Design Engineer

Telford, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on-site. Salary up to £41k per annum (dependent on experience).

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a background in designing production machinery and automation builds? We are supporting a leading global manufacturing business in their search for a talented individual to join their established design team.

The role involves conception or re-design of existing automation and production machinery, with a focus on mechanical design. Experience with electrical and pneumatic principles would be advantageous.

Responsibilities include:

• Detailing of manufacturing drawings
• Assisting in the creation of concepts
• Updating and maintaining existing drawings
• Creating technical manuals
• Generating Bills of Materials and supporting with purchasing and expediting where necessary

Requirements:

• Qualified to HNC or NVQ Level 4 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Previous experience with Auto Inventor and AutoCAD
• Experience in mechanical design of machinery or automation equipment
• Previous roles may include Mechanical Design Engineer, Automation Design Engineer, or Development Engineer
