We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of HVAC and mechanical building services projects across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial schemes.


This is a key leadership role within a growing and reputable building services contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work.


The Role

As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing mechanical packages from pre‑construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple HVAC and mechanical building services projects
  • Manage project managers, engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
  • Monitor programme performance and drive delivery to meet key milestones
  • Control project budgets, variations, and commercial performance
  • Lead client meetings and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and company procedures
  • Support procurement and supply chain management
  • Oversee commissioning and final handover processes

About You

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plant rooms, ductwork, pipework, and associated mechanical services
  • Experience delivering commercial, industrial, healthcare, or education projects (sector dependent)
  • Commercially astute with strong contractual awareness
  • SMSTS / CSCS (Black or Gold) preferred
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
