As a Lead Project Engineer, you will own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. You will manage activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer.


As a Lead Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:



  • Leading the review and approval of all engineering changes for assigned product lines including:
    o Ensure BOM changes are complete and accurate with clear engineering substantiation for the change.
    o Change addresses all interfacing components and systems.
    o Assigning the appropriate CID reviewers & approvers


  • Communicating across direct organization. Presents to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy


  • Implementing the applicable engineering aspects of quality and safety plans in accordance with Baker Hughes, the client, and statutory requirements including sub-contractors.


  • Interfacing within the project team.


  • Operating to all engineering and project plans, methods and execution policies. Produce work orders, engineering reports and other documents in accordance with Baker Hughes procedures.


  • Preparing, checking and approving (up to the appropriate checking/approval level) all engineering designs and reports for the project.


  • Connecting the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions; works on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business

To be successful in this role you will:



  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in Engineering/Technology).


  • Have a good knowledge of technical concepts in technologies


  • Have proven experience in Customer Project Engineering preferably from Oil and Gas sector/ Manufacturing sector


  • Have sound oral and written communication skills


  • Have good interpersonal and leadership skills


  • Have the ability to influence others and lead small teams


  • Be able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact


  • Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously


  • Have a Permanent work permit in UK
