NES Fircroft are recruiting a Laboratory Automation Specialist, to join a leading agricultural company dedicated to enhancing global food security. This role is based at our client's site in Bracknell on a 24 month contract.

The Role:
As a Laboratory Automation Specialist, you will collaborate with scientists to leverage cutting-edge automation platform.

Your role will also involve:

Setting up automated workflows.
Troubleshooting issues on the Tecan Evo liquid handler.
Contributing to the selection of new automation equipment.Required Skills:

Proven experience in an automation role, preferably within a lab environment.
Proficiency in writing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting workflows on a liquid handler, specifically the Tecan Evo.
Ability to work closely with scientists to translate manual processes into automated workflows.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Your Background:

MSc or equivalent experience in a science or engineering discipline.
Experience with integrating and automating lab equipment.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, R, SQL.
Knowledge of IOT devices, microcontrollers, SBCs, or device integration.
Experience with Design of Experiments (DoE) and image analysis.To Apply:
