Thames Water is looking for a driven and talented IoT Solutions Support Specialist to join our dynamic Service Delivery team. You'll play a key role in rolling out our smart metering solution, helping to revolutionise how we manage water across our network. What you will be doing as the IoT Solutions Support Specialist: You will be at the forefront of innovation in utility technology. In partnership with leading industry experts, you will support the deployment of cutting-edge NB-IoT connectivity solutions designed to transform water metering infrastructure across the Thames Water network. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a pioneering project that is shaping the future of smart water management.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Integration Support: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of the NB-IoT metering solution with Thames Water’s existing infrastructure.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise in IoT systems, particularly NB-IoT, to troubleshoot issues, support deployment, and ensure system stability during launch and ongoing operation.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key liaison between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of technical challenges.
Deployment Oversight: Assist in the roll-out of the metering solution, ensuring that all equipment is properly installed, configured, and meets operational connectivity standards.
Data Management & Analysis: Oversee the collection and analysis of metering data from IoT devices, providing actionable insights to improve water management and service delivery.
Continual Improvement: Help identify opportunities for process improvements, performance enhancements, and innovation within the metering solution ecosystem.
Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Technical Lead at Thames Water on project status, technical challenges, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and effective project oversight.What you should bring to the role:

Strong background in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, with specific experience in NB-IoT connectivity.
Experience with telecoms technologies and a solid understanding of NB-IoT networks.
Familiarity with smart metering systems, water infrastructure, or utilities.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Collaborative, team-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Desirable Skills and Experience:

Experience working with IoT, smart metering or telecoms providers.
A background in telecommunications or a related field, particularly in IoT connectivity solutions.
Knowledge of water industry regulations and best practices in metering.Location: Hybrid - Worcester House, Langley SL3 6EY.
Hours: 36 hours per week.
