Our Physiotherapy team in Oxford currently have an opportunity for a Bank Weekend Physiotherapist.


The Manor Hospital is one of the Flagship Nuffield Hospitals, with 70 beds and 5 theatres, which deliver excellent clinical care as well as benefiting the local communities, using our state of the art facilities and working with our expert Consultants. The majority of operations are elective orthopaedics, gynae, breast cancer and some trauma cases.


As part of the Physiotherapy team you will have clinical support available from Senior Physiotherapists along with leadership from the management team on site. A comprehensive induction would be carried out.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent clinical care on the wards that is evidence based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and responsive to our patient’s needs.
  • Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided.
  • Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience in elective orthopaedics is essential.
  • Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisation skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner.

The weekend rotas are planned in advance, to accommodate dates you would be willing to work. We ask that one weekend per month is covered.
