Due to continued growth and investment, they are looking to expand their workshop team with an experienced HGV Mechanic. Your new role


You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and inspection of a modern fleet of HGVs and trailers. Working within a busy workshop, your duties will include:

  • Conducting routine servicing, MOT preparation, and scheduled maintenance
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carrying out repairs to engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension, and hydraulics
  • Completing all work to DVSA standards
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with company procedures
  • Supporting breakdowns when required and contributing to a safe working environment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Technician
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or significant experience)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
  • Knowledge of current DVSA standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to high‑quality workmanship
  • HGV licence is desirable but not essential
