Summary

We are looking for a diligent Pharmacy Administrator specializing in Homecare & Procurement to join our dynamic team in Dorchester. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £22,816.00 to £24,336.00 per year.


Key Responsibilities

  • Invoice Processing: Handle both electronic and manual invoice processing, ensuring accuracy in general pharmacy and homecare invoices.
  • Contract Liaison: Communicate with homecare companies about contract prices and ensure these are accurately reflected on the pharmacy computer system and associated price lists.
  • Issue Resolution: Address any queries related to homecare and general pharmacy invoices, maintaining a log of discrepancies awaiting resolution.
  • Homecare Procedures: Book homecare prescriptions according to procedures, ensuring all relevant documentation and signatures are included.
  • Patient Registration: Register patients onto the relevant homecare services.
  • Prescription Processing: Process all homecare prescriptions through the JAC pharmacy system and finance system as required.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Ensure all Homecare prescriptions are processed in a timely manner according to SOPs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other service staff to ensure the accurate and timely supply of medication.
  • Urgent Requests: Handle urgent medication requests promptly to avoid compromising patient treatment.
  • Procurement: Assist in the daily purchasing of pharmaceutical products, ensuring adherence to procurement contracts and SOPs.
  • Supply Management: Address supply issues and communicate ongoing problems to relevant staff to minimize shortages.
  • Invoice Payment: Ensure timely payment of pharmacy and homecare invoices.
  • Database Management: Maintain all Homecare Databases, ensuring patient details and clinical histories are accurately recorded.
  • Finance Queries: Support and respond to finance queries to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices on JAC and eFIN systems.
  • Training and Support: Participate in the training, development, and support of Pharmacy Staff as required.
  • Filing and Archiving: Maintain an accessible filing system for the Procurement Team and manage archiving as necessary.
