We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment, providing technical support and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing mechanical systems to ensure the smooth operation of the property. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and overseeing contractors to maintain high standards of performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance support, including installation, planned preventive, and reactive maintenance, for site services and equipment.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of AHUs, FCUs, and mechanical systems, including pump seals, bearings, and alignment.
  • Participate in the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team.
  • Prioritise work to meet business needs effectively.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs.
  • Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring tasks are performed to required standards.
  • Provide specialist technical support related to building plant and equipment.

What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional with:

  • Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical, Plumbing, or HVAC) (Essential).
  • Experience in building services & mechanical servicing/maintenance, including pump seals, bearings, and alignment (Essential).
  • Ability to write reports and job sheets either manually or electronically (Essential).
  • Competence in other areas of building services (BMS, Electrical) (Desirable).
  • Possession of a full clean UK Driving Licence (Essential).
