Overview

Electrical & Mechanical Building Services Technician role at Eisai EMEA. The Electrical and Mechanical Building Services Technician will report to the Estates Engineering Manager and is responsible for the reliable and compliant operation of the estate-wide services and equipment serving all business functions across the European Knowledge Centre (EKC) facility at Hatfield.

The main purpose is to deliver a high standard of mechanical and electrical services throughout the EKC business, within the estates engineering team. To plan and undertake routine scheduled maintenance of plant and/or equipment with stakeholders, causing minimal disruption.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure reliable and compliant operation of estate-wide electrical and mechanical services and equipment.
  • Plan and undertake routine scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment with stakeholders, aiming to minimise disruption.
  • On call (1 in 6), including attending site on Sat/Sun and bank holidays to blow down boilers and carry out plant room checks.
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Work with CMMS and BMS systems to manage maintenance activities and record keeping.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals.
  • Flexible to work outside standard office hours when required.
What we’re looking for (Qualifications and Skills)
  • Electrical engineering, equivalent (BS7671 & C&G 2391)
  • Mechanical engineering (full-term apprenticeship)
  • Educated to ONC/HNC
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient with Windows operating system
  • Multi-skilled in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with electrical motor controls and relay logic
  • Experience with AHUs, FCUs and chilled water systems
  • Experience with Safe systems of work
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and equipment manuals
  • Experience with CMMS and BMS systems
  • Experience working in controlled environments
  • Knowledge of water systems and water treatment
