Digital Product Manager – Connected Platforms, IoT & Industrial AI

Employment Type: Contract / Permanent

Function: Global Digital / Connected Products

Reports to: Director – Digital Products / Digital Transformation

Key Interfaces: Engineering, Data & AI Teams, Field Service Operations, Sales Operations, IT Architecture, Finance, External Vendors

Role Purpose

The Digital Product Manager leads the strategy, development, and scaling of connected product platforms, IoT-enabled devices, and industrial AI solutions that support digital transformation across field sales, service operations, and industrial asset management.

This role owns the product vision, roadmap, and value delivery for digital products that combine connected devices, data platforms, and AI-driven insights to improve equipment performance, service efficiency, and customer engagement.

The Digital Product Manager works across engineering, commercial teams, and external partners to deliver scalable digital solutions and integrate them into enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and SAP.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured through:

• Successful launch and scaling of connected platforms and digital services

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Define and own the roadmap for IoT-enabled digital products and connected platforms supporting industrial equipment and services.

• Translate business opportunities in field sales, service, and asset management into scalable digital solutions.

• Identify opportunities to apply industrial AI, advanced analytics, and connected data platforms to drive business value.

• Align product strategy with enterprise digital transformation objectives.

2. IoT Devices & Connected Platform Development

• Lead the development of connected device ecosystems, including sensors, gateways, and cloud-connected platforms.

• Define product requirements for device telemetry, connectivity, device lifecycle management, and data pipelines.

• Ensure scalable architecture for device management, operational data ingestion, and analytics platforms.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enable secure, reliable connectivity between industrial equipment and digital platforms.

3. Industrial AI & Data-Driven Products

• Identify and develop digital capabilities powered by operational equipment data and AI-driven insights.

• Enable solutions such as:

Intelligent service recommendations

• Partner with data and engineering teams to translate operational data into customer-facing digital products and services.

4. Field Sales & Service Digital Transformation

• Design digital solutions that enhance field service operations and sales effectiveness.

• Integrate IoT insights into enterprise platforms including Salesforce and SAP to support sales, service, and customer engagement processes.

• Enable capabilities such as:

• Work with commercial teams to embed digital capabilities into sales and service offerings.

5. Product Delivery & Execution

• Translate product strategy into prioritized backlogs, delivery plans, and release roadmaps.

• Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure high-quality and timely product releases.

• Manage product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate cross-functional delivery activities across engineering, business stakeholders, and vendors.

6. Vendor & Partner Coordination

• Collaborate with external technology partners and delivery vendors to support product development.

• Ensure vendor outputs align with product requirements, timelines, and quality standards.

• Manage scope, delivery dependencies, and integration considerations.

7. Commercial & Financial Ownership

• Develop business cases and value models for digital products and connected services.

• Track product investments and monitor delivery against approved budgets.

• Measure product performance using adoption metrics, operational improvements, and customer feedback.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience in digital product management, connected products, or technology platforms.

• Experience developing or managing IoT-enabled products or connected device ecosystems.

• Proven experience supporting digital transformation in field sales, service operations, or industrial environments.

• Experience working with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and SAP.

• Strong understanding of data platforms, analytics, and AI-driven digital capabilities.

• Experience working in complex, cross-functional global environments.

• Ability to coordinate engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with connected industrial equipment, remote monitoring, or predictive maintenance solutions.

• Exposure to AI-driven analytics, asset performance optimization, or digital service platforms.

• Experience delivering digital solutions integrated with enterprise sales and service processes.

• Familiarity with Agile product development practices.
