Applications are invited for a Consultant in Cardiothoracic Anaesthesia to join the existing department providing specialist care for adult Cardiothoracic Surgery in the West of Scotland.


The Golden Jubilee National Hospital is the regional tertiary centre for cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery and complex electrophysiology for the West of Scotland and one of two regional PCI centres. The institution also houses national services such as Adult Congenital (SACCS), Scottish Pulmonary Vascular Unit and the National Advanced Heart Failure Service including Cardiac Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Support.


Applicants with advanced training in cardiothoracic anaesthesia will be considered. They should hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for admission to the register within 6 months of the interview date.
