We have a fantastic position for a Commis Chef in our new restaurant Hop Scotch at the brand new Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC.


Responsibilities

As a Commis Chef you’re on the first rung of the ladder to becoming a great chef.


You will do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of a Chef de Partie, rotating through sections such as sauce, vegetables, fish and butchery.


This is your big chance to learn all there is to know about your trade.



  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene
  • Preparing the ingredients for a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef or Head Chef
  • Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
  • Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
  • Is flexible and creative
  • Has a real passion for food
  • Has team spirit
  • Has a minimum of 1 year experience
  • Is interested in all areas of the kitchen
  • Is ambitious to grow within the company
  • Is adaptive to every situation in hospitality
  • Is well organised and resistant to stress!
