Consulo are proud recruitment partners to a British-based designer and manufacturer of mechanical power transmission systems is entering an ambitious phase of strategic growth. With a strong engineering heritage and an established presence across key industrial sectors, the business is now seeking a commercially driven Distribution Sales Manager to take ownership of its UK channel strategy and elevate distributor performance to a new level.


This is not an account maintenance role. This is a build, strengthen and scale opportunity.


The Vision

The long-term objective is clear: To develop a high-performing, strategically aligned distribution network that becomes the primary route to market, positioning the business firmly as the OEM partner of choice within mechanical power transmission.


The Opportunity

You will take full responsibility for developing and optimising the UK distribution channel, implementing structured growth strategies designed to increase revenue, deepen engagement and expand product penetration.


You will drive growth across:



  • Geared motors
  • Electric motors
  • Mechanical power transmission solutions
  • Bespoke engineered gearbox applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop the UK distribution strategy
  • Implement structured growth plans and joint business planning
  • Increase revenue and share of wallet across the channel
  • Drive cross‑selling of motors, drives and engineered gear solutions
  • Introduce performance metrics and KPI frameworks
  • Deliver commercial and technical training to distributor sales teams
  • Identify and onboard new high‑potential distribution partners where required
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to support custom applications
  • Report on sales performance, margin development and pipeline growth
