Job Title: BMS Project Sales Engineer

Location: London, UK

Salary: £45,000 – £65,000 + Commission + Benefits

About the Role

My client is seeking a motivated and commercially driven BMS (Building Management Systems) Project Sales Engineer to join their growing London-based team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation in BMS or building automation who is ready to take ownership of sales opportunities, develop client relationships, and drive project growth.

Key Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and secure new BMS project opportunities across commercial, industrial, and public-sector clients

Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to project handover

Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender submissions

Collaborate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements

Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and end-users

Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events across London and surrounding areas

Track pipeline activity and achieve agreed sales targets

Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and competitor activity

Key Requirements

3–7 years’ experience in BMS, HVAC controls, or building automation sales/engineering

Strong understanding of BMS systems (e.g., Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell)

Proven track record in technical sales or project estimation

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management abilities

Full UK driving licence

Desirable Skills

Experience with energy management solutions and smart building technologies

Knowledge of IoT integration or digital building platforms

Existing network within London construction or FM sectors

Familiarity with frameworks and public-sector procurement
