Working within a multi professional team you will gain excellent specialist experience from a range of rotations offered on a 9 monthly basis.


Option rotations include neurology and neurosurgery inpatients; critical care and respiratory; complex rehabilitation and trauma


As an effective team player you will have excellent organisational skills with an interest in audit and research and a commitment to CPD.


As part of your role you will provide training and supervision to junior staff, undergraduate students and other relevant health professionals.


You will be expected to participate in evening and weekend working including 7 day rotas according to the requirements of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • To assess and treat patients within designated specialist clinical area.
  • To work flexibly according to service needs.
  • To assist Senior Therapy staff in service development and the provision of a quality service.
  • To take responsibility where appropriate, for junior therapy staff and students and delegate duties as necessary, providing appropriate level of support at all times.
  • Under the direction of supervisor and other team members assist with specified areas of service provision as appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy
  • Health & Care Professions Council registration
  • Ability to demonstrate a practical and theoretical working knowledge of identified specialist area of practice

Knowledge & Experience

  • Ability to demonstrate a practical and theoretical working knowledge of postgraduate Physiotherapy Practice across a range of clinical settings appropriate to service rotations
  • Previous experience of assessment and treatment of Neurological disorders and long term conditions
  • Able to plan and carry out a complex and demanding workload
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of supervising and delegating to junior staff and appraisal

£38,682 to £46,580 a year per annum pro rata
