About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Trauma & Ortho Team in Leicester. This ongoing locum position offers a competitive rate of £26 per hour and full-time hours across multiple sites, providing excellent variety and professional development.


You will play a key role in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to patients with trauma and orthopaedic conditions, working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced NHS setting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Assessment & Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation programmes tailored to patient needs.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
  • Discharge Planning: Contribute to effective discharge planning, ensuring safe and smooth transitions from hospital to home or onward care.
  • Education & Support: Provide guidance and education to patients, families, and junior staff regarding rehabilitation pathways and recovery goals.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in line with HCPC and NHS standards.

Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Band 6 NHS role within trauma and orthopaedics.
  • Driving licence (preferable) due to potential travel between multiple sites.
