STS Aviation Services is hiring a B2 Avionics Mechanic in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will carry out avionics modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved data and engineering documentation. You’ll take full ownership of the quality and compliance of your work, ensuring safe practices and timely communication with the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Precise wiring terminations and testing
  • Removal and installation of various shelves, panels and equipment
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements
  • Loom manufacture and testing
  • Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Skills and Abilities:

  • Completed an engineering apprenticeship—ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
  • Previous aircraft modification experience
  • Previous aircraft production experience is advantageous
  • Excellent hand skills
  • Eligible to work and live in the UK
  • Subject to UK security Vetting
  • Excellent knowledge of Avionics systems
  • Reliability
  • Good interpersonal skills

Part-145 Training Requirements:

  • Initial EWIS group 1&2 (including EWIS group 1 Module G (Practical)); Continuation Training EWIS group 1&2
  • ETOPS
  • RVSM
