AirX Jet Support is a UK CAA and EASA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on our parent company fleet of Bombardier CL604, CL850, Embraer EMB-135 and ERJ-190 aircraft. Due to continued growth and expansion, we are recruiting for Avionics Mechanics to join our team.


Role

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with experience working in a Base Maintenance environment. The Avionics Mechanic will work under the supervision of Licensed Aircraft Engineers, performing maintenance tasks on Avionic and Electrical systems.


This role is based at the London Stansted Diamond Hangar facility working a rotational 5-5-4 day shift pattern. A degree of flexibility is expected including a requirement to work overtime if required.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on aircraft.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, task cards, engineering drawings and other specific technical documentation.
  • Complete all assigned work in a timely manner to optimise aircraft downtime.
  • Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
  • Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
  • Adopt and promote the company Safety, Quality and FOD culture.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
  • Promote a just culture and report all incidents and occurrences in the IQSMS portal.
  • Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
  • Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Stansted.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Have completed a recognised apprenticeship, formal training program or able to demonstrate comparable qualifications and experience.
  • Have experience working in a Base Maintenance environment including the accomplishment of complex wiring modifications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Bombardier, Embraer or similar aircraft types.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety, Human Factors and Regulatory requirements.
  • Be a team player who will grasp opportunities to exceed the expectations of external customers.
  • Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must have legal authorisation and the right to work in the UK.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and hold an airside ID pass.
