Associate Mechanical Engineer - M&E Contractor - Up to £90k + Car + Travel + Bonus

I am looking for an Associate Engineer to join a leading M&E Contractor in their Design Department. This role balances high-level technical delivery with strategic team management. Reporting directly to the Director, you will lead both internal and external teams to deliver MEP services design information at RIBA Stages 4b/c and 5.

  • Project Leadership: You will act as a Project Coordinator, managing external teams and ensuring all work meets the highest technical and regulatory standards.
  • Sustainability Impact: You will be a key contributor to our Net Zero Carbon strategy (Embodied and Operational) and help deliver BREEAM, WELL, and NABERS accreditations.
  • Pre-Construction Influence: Support project teams during the pre-construction stage, reviewing tender information to enhance sustainability targets and client requirements.
  • Mentorship: You’ll provide technical and non-technical support to develop the next generation of engineers within the group.

What They Are Looking For

  • Education: A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Building Services, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record in commercial buildings (new build, shell and core, and CAT A/B fit-outs) with experience leading holistic MEP designs from RIBA Stage 2 to 4.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with BSRIA BG6 deliverables and proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the communication skills necessary to lead presentations for external clients.
