Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Dunfermline – Halbeath Motor Park | Full Time | 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday | £31,200 – £34,008 basic salary, with OTE up to £38,808 (including bonus & overtime)

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our Aftersales team at our Dunfermline dealership located at Halbeath Motor Park.

What we're looking for

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Service and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • We welcome applications from both dealership and independent garage technicians
  • Able to commute to Dunfermline
  • Right to work in the UK

The role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will work within a busy Aftersales department carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance, while working closely with the Workshop Controller and Service Advisors to deliver high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Complete vehicle inspections and pre-delivery checks
  • Record Digital Vehicle Health Checks to help explain vehicle condition to customers
  • Work with the Workshop Controller to manage your daily workload
  • Provide feedback to Service Advisors on additional work required
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
  • Participate in ongoing manufacturer training and development
