Job Title: Vehicle Technician

If you have, at least, 3 years' experience in the trade, a UK Level 2/3 Diploma in light vehicle maintenance and repair principles, and your own tools, we can put your expertise and knowledge to good use. We would appreciate some diagnostic knowledge, or at least a willingness to attend courses and learn more. A current full, clean UK driving licence is a must.

We are a friendly, family run business, who have been repairing/servicing and selling vehicles for over 43 years and understand the need to consider work/life balance for all our staff.

We want you to be conscientious and responsible with a good track record for time keeping and understanding of both manager and customer requirements. You will be needed to facilitate the efficient turnaround of customer and sales cars by being as accurate and time efficient as possible.

Your key duties will be:

Follow job card request instructions on your tablet

A mix of repairs, diagnostics and servicing eg: clutches, cambelt/timing chains, head gasket replacement etc

Concise and clear communication skills with colleagues and managers, reporting back any issues over and above those stated on job cards

Obtaining appropriate authorisation if additional work is required

Carrying out electronic vehicle health checks

The ability to use diagnostic equipment and road test to determine repairs

Expedite informing parts department of items required to complete the job

Test drive your repair work

Discuss technical issues/work with customers directly, if required and in a courteous manner

Forward thinking and be prepared to attend offsite courses

Being a team player and giving help to your colleagues, when asked

Salary from: £30,000, according to experience + monthly uncapped profit share

Free on-street parking

4 weeks holiday plus public holidays and incremental increases with longevity of employment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
