About the Role

As an experienced Mechanic, youll be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vehicle brands and models. No two days will be the same

from routine servicing and MOT prep to more complex mechanical repairs and fault finding.
Youll be trusted to work independently, manage your workload efficiently, and maintain high standards of workmanship. Attention to detail is key, as the business prides itself on delivering vehicles back to customers in top condition.
This role would suit someone confident in their ability, who enjoys problem-solving and wants to work in a professional but down-to-earth environment.
About the Client

Our client is a well-established, reputable automotive business based in Bridgend with a strong presence in the local market. They specialise in vehicle sales and preparation, with an in-house workshop that maintains and prepares a wide variety of cars and vans to a high standard.
With years of experience in the motor trade, they have built their success on honesty, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. The workshop is busy, well-equipped, and run by a team that values reliability, teamwork, and doing the job properly the first time.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday

8:00am

5:00pm

Full-time, permanent position

Enjoy your weekends off with no weekend working required.
Key Duties

Carrying out servicing and repairs on all makes and models

Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults

Completing MOT preparation work

Replacing engines, gearboxes, clutches, brakes, and suspension components

Conducting vehicle health checks and reporting additional work required

Ensuring all work is completed to high safety and quality standards

Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

Key Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience as a Vehicle Mechanic

Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred)

Confident working on all brands and models

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Own tools required

Full UK driving licence
