sectors. Were looking for an experienced

Mechanical Design Engineer

to join a cutting-edge development programme within the

nuclear energy domain .
This role sits within a

Mechanical Development & Prototyping (MDP)

team, focusing on the

design, testing, and validation of mechanical systems and test rigs

supporting the development of next-generation energy technologies.
What youll be doing
Designing and supporting

test rigs

and

mechanical development systems .
Conducting

mechanical testing ,

validation , and

verification

activities.
Writing

test plans ,

test cases , and

technical reports .
Applying

design for manufacturability ,

tolerancing , and

modularisation

principles.
De-risking mechanical concepts

through hands-on testing and analysis.
Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary development teams.
Qualifications

What were looking for
610 years experience as a

Mechanical Design or Development Engineer .
Background in a

regulated industry

Nuclear (ideal) ,

Defence ,

Aerospace , or

Energy .
Understanding of

systems design

and

engineering methods .
Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
Familiarity with

test rig processes

and mechanical validation.
