SpR Cardiothoracic Surgeon – Oxfordshire

Temporary or Permanent | Feb Start

I’m working with a Large hospital in Oxfordshire to recruit an SpR in Cardiothoracic Surgery– available as either a fixed-term/locum or substantive post, with a January or February start.


If you’re looking for strong operative exposure in a renowned cardiothoracic centre, with supportive consultants and a great training environment, this is a fantastic opportunity.


The role

  • Work as an SpR in Cardiothoracic Surgery in a busy tertiary centre in Oxfordshire
  • Mix of elective and emergency cardiac and thoracic surgery (lists, clinics, on-calls)
  • Active involvement in MDTs, ward rounds, pre-op assessment and post-op care
  • Opportunities to contribute to audit, QI, research and teaching


About you

  • SpR/ST-level doctor with experience in cardiothoracic surgery
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise
  • Strong operative skills appropriate to training level and committed to further developing your cardiothoracic portfolio
  • Available to start in January or February (flexible on exact date)
