Specialised Musculo‑Skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist – Band 6 – Fixed Term Secondment – Cross site

Following development of our MSK collaborative under East Sussex MSK, we continue to look to the growth and development of our MSK Physiotherapy services. Due to maternity leave we are looking to recruit a Fixed Term Secondment Band 6 to support the ongoing provision of our MSK pathways. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Band 5 or Band 6 with some prior experience of working with MSK patients. This will be a cross‑site role, giving you the opportunity to work with a wide range of patients accessing our service and to develop your MSK assessment and management skills.


You will be working in a supportive team environment, alongside experienced MSK clinicians, including advanced practitioners, the MSK Clinical Lead, Rehab Leads and the MSK Clinical Consultant. This role will also be central to our collaboration with other providers as part of the East Sussex MSK collaborative, to drive innovation and best practice within our MSK care pathways across Sussex.


Our teams have a strong commitment to supporting personal professional development through an embedded in‑service training programme, clinical and leadership supervision, mentoring and appraisal. The successful candidate will be integral to the delivery of this.


Responsibilities and Expectations

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, alongside sound knowledge and experience in the management of a wide range of MSK conditions. They will assist the Band 7, Advanced Practice MSK Physiotherapists and Rehabilitation Leads to deliver evidence‑based care pathways for our patients and will take an active part in the participation and provision of in‑service training. You will be providing supervision and support to junior physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants in the team, as well as supporting student placements and work experience placements.
