We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Physiotherapist to join our friendly and dynamic team. You will manage a varied caseload—​including patients with complex needs—​while working as an autonomous practitioner with an option for 9‑month rotations within Older Persons Medicine, General Medicine, Cardiology, Haematology, Endocrinology and Gastroenterology.

In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care; contribute to MDT working; and support the development of junior staff through supervision and teaching. You will also be involved in service improvement, audit and quality initiatives, and participate in the respiratory on‑call rota.

Core Responsibilities
  • Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred physiotherapy assessment and treatment, including for patients with complex and diverse needs.
  • Work independently to manage your own varied caseload, using evidence‑based practice and strong clinical reasoning.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that help patients achieve meaningful goals and maximise their independence.
  • Be an active and valued member of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and colleagues.
  • Support and develop junior staff, students, assistants and technicians through supervision, teaching and day‑to‑day guidance.
  • Participate in the respiratory on‑call and weekend rota, contributing to a safe and responsive 7‑day service.
  • Contribute to ongoing service improvement by suggesting and supporting changes to practice, helping shape the future of the physiotherapy service.
  • Take part in clinical audit, research and quality initiatives to drive high standards of care within the department.
  • Ensure safe and effective use of physiotherapy equipment in line with Trust policies.
  • Deputise for the Band 7 Physiotherapist when required, helping maintain smooth service delivery.
  • Approach challenging or sensitive situations with empathy, professionalism and excellent communication.
  • Attend ward rounds, MDT meetings and case conferences to support coordinated, timely patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and professional clinical documentation in accordance with HCPC and CSP standards.
