We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Hours required will include Monday and Tuesday evenings, Wednesday mornings or Friday afternoons.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • Independently assess and treat patients with more complex needs across inpatient or outpatient settings.
  • Develop individualised treatment plans using a variety of physiotherapy techniques to optimise recovery, function, and independence.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions accordingly, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
  • Manage a designated caseload efficiently, prioritising based on clinical urgency and discharge planning needs.
  • Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to support safe, effective, and timely patient care.
  • Contribute to continuity of care by supporting patient transitions between services.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Solid post-registration experience across a range of clinical areas.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to team working and service improvement.
  • Evidence of CPD or postgraduate learning in a relevant clinical area.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff or students.
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation and outcome measurement tools.
  • Involvement in audit or clinical service initiatives.
  • Must have experience working independently at senior level in outpatients.
  • Must be predominantly MSK but a special interest in Hand Therapy or Women’s Health would be beneficial.
