Senior Physiotherapist – Newcastle Hospital / Gosforth FWC | Physiotherapy | Permanent Contract | Full time | Up to £42,500 per annum depending on experience | 40 hours per week

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver high quality, effective clinical care.

About us

Nuffield Health Newcastle Hospital is located in Jesmond and operates one of the North East’s leading private hospitals with a Good CQC rating. We offer 27 en‑suite private bedrooms, three state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres, a dedicated breast care unit, on‑site pathology services and diagnostic imaging including CT and MRI. Our on‑site physiotherapy specialists support patients after surgery, with a special focus on orthopaedics, spinal surgery, ophthalmology, weight loss surgery and cosmetic treatment.


Job responsibilities

As a Senior Physiotherapist you will have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and possess excellent clinical reasoning and rehabilitation skills. You will be a confident communicator, skilled at engaging with all kinds of people, and will see a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post‑operative cases. You will play a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to.


To succeed as a Senior Physiotherapist, you will:

  • Have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Demonstrate evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner.
  • Be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent rehabilitation skills.
  • Be a competent and confident IT user with strong organisational skills.
  • Have the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload in an effective and timely manner.

Qualifications
