Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join the medical department of a leading Championship football club. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the physical development, injury prevention, and rehabilitation of academy players, helping to prepare them for progression into first-team football.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy support to Academy players across all age groups
  • Lead on injury prevention strategies, screening, and rehabilitation programmes
  • Deliver pitch-side medical cover for academy training sessions and matches
  • Work closely with the Academy Head of Medical, coaches, and sports science staff to optimise player care
  • Maintain accurate medical records in line with professional and safeguarding standards
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of return-to-play protocols
  • Support the wider academy programme in line with EPPP (Elite Player Performance Plan) requirements

Qualities & Skills Required

  • Strong clinical knowledge and proven experience in a sports physiotherapy setting (football desirable)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic player care
  • Flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and safeguarding best practice
