We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer - Security to join our growing technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Cisco-savvy professional to take ownership of delivering high-quality security and networking solutions while acting as a subject matter expert for key product areas.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge network and infrastructure solutions for a range of enterprise customers. From scoping and planning projects to mentoring junior staff and acting as a third-line escalation point, you’ll help shape the success of our security engineering services.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the design, planning, and implementation of secure networking and infrastructure solutions.

  • Deliver expert consultancy and deployment services, ensuring projects meet customer needs and profitability targets.

  • Serve as the technical lead for one or more product sets—owning design standards, documentation, and best practices.

  • Act as a third-line escalation point, resolving complex technical issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Manage project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, documentation, and coordination with third parties.

  • Provide exceptional support and guidance to clients across a range of security technologies.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and maintain relevant technical certifications.

  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing.

  • Participate in on-call support rotation and occasional out-of-hours work for project delivery and change control.

    What You’ll Bring

    Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking and security technologies.

  • Practical experience with Cisco Firepower, ISE, Fortinet and Meraki (Switching, Wireless, Security).

  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSE certification preferred).

  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation including HLDs and LLDs.

  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-motivated, analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.

  • UK driving licence and ability to travel to customer sites when required.

    Desirable:

  • Exposure to complex multi-vendor environments.

  • Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
