This role will be part of Kimberly Clark's International Family Care and Professional (IFP) business—an organization rooted in purpose and innovation that has built a legacy with global impact. As Kimberly-Clark forms a strategic partnership with Suzano to create a world-class international tissue and professional products company, this role is proposed to transfer to the new venture once the transaction closes, anticipated in mid-2026, subject to consultation and other applicable legal requirements. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new global leader backed by two industry powerhouses. You’ll be part of a high-potential business that combines Kimberly-Clark’s iconic brands and commercial excellence with Suzano’s industrial and sustainability leadership

Reporting to the Engineering Development Leader, this role has responsibility for all aspects of Project Engineering, including the research, development, procurement of equipment and leading/executing engineering projects across the site. There is also an expectation to own key EHS Performance Standards.

In this role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Write project appropriations up to $5M
  • Ownership of project controls and reporting to ensure compliance and stakeholder management:
  • Change In Scope, Close Out and Placed in Service documents
  • Monthly Capital & Project management reviews
  • Setup effective construction management system that allows communication of works, issues, and interfaces with operations
  • Ensure safety management protocol is established including compliance to CDM regulations and Safety Management of Change process.
  • Undertake operational engagement activities such as Kaizen layout events etc.
  • Ensure detailed plan is established ensuring that execution activities can be accurately tracked.
  • Management of contacts and contractors
  • Identify resource requirements and establish project teams including clearly defining roles and responsibilities and workload profiling.
  • Monitor overall progress during project execution to ensure delivery within agreed machine shutdown durations.
  • Ensure necessary commissioning and handover activities are completed:
  • CCO, ECO, PCO and safety requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensure all engineering documentation and MOC has been delivered before close out, (SOP’s, As built drawings, PI&D’s, update for Preventive Maintenance System, Asset Register)
  • Coach and support other mill personnel though capital process
  • Proactively engage in asset control activities, annual Asset Count Verification, Asset tracking, Asset Disposition.

  • Degree (preferably masters) in Mechanical Engineering
  • Extensive experience in engineering environment, 5 years minimum, preferably FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) Environment
  • Experienced in managing and delivering engineering projects
  • Proven leadership skills and coordinating projects teams
  • Project Management Certification (i.e, Prince 2, Agile)
  • Safety Certification; IOSH Managing Safely or comparable certification (i.e. SSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training))
  • Management Of Asbestos, CDM Regs 2015 trained, AutoCAD desirable but not essential

Available to work flexible hours outside of normal day hours to cover a business need, to cover shortfalls within the team due to resourcing issues, and to support a 24hr Call in Rota.
