Were working with an established and privately-owned Contractor who are looking for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their team based in Yorkshire, focusing on a variety of Building Services projects across sectors such as MOJ, Retail, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Residential and much more.
This role will require you to work autonomously on projects valued from £3m - £7m M&E, they currently have 20 people across Design and Pre-Construction teams and this role will offer a relaxed entry into the role with support from an existing Senior Estimator, with and Estimator and Junior Estimator below you.
This company is currently turning over £32m as of 2025 and have increased their turnover this year by £13m, with next year due to be even busier!
Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Quantifying labour, materials, plant, and specialist subcontractor costs
  • Reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotations
  • Attending site visits
  • Interpreting specifications and drawings
  • Identifying value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
  • Supporting post-tender negotiations and project handovers
  • Maintaining accurate estimating records and cost databases
