The Opportunity
This is an excellent chance to join a leading engineering consultancy, working on technically varied mechanical engineering work packages. You'll play a key role in developing safe, efficient, fit-for?purpose design solutions while supporting both senior stakeholders and less-experienced team members.

We would also welcome applications from these industries
Nuclear, defence, energy infrastructure, heavy industrial engineering, or manufacturing.

This role would suit candidates working in these roles
Senior Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Handling Engineer, Lifting Equipment Engineer, Principal Mechanical Engineer, Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, Plant Engineer, Mechanical Technical Lead, or Mechanical Compliance Engineer.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Leading mechanical engineering tasks, providing well-reasoned design solutions across a wide range of mechanical handling and lifting applications.
Producing and reviewing design deliverables including drawings, models, analyses, reports, and supporting documentation.
Assessing technical issues, proposing suitable solutions, and evaluating the impact of design changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Supporting multidisciplinary teams by offering technical guidance, managing engineering risks, and promoting safe, compliant working practices.
Liaising with project managers and stakeholders to plan work, report progress, and maintain clarity on engineering scope and deliverables.You will have the following qualifications and experience
Degree?qualified in a relevant engineering discipline with substantial mechanical engineering experience.
Chartered (or working toward Chartership) with strong experience delivering mechanical design solutions to cost, quality, and schedule.
Confident in interpreting, checking, and challenging engineering drawings and calculations to recognised standards.
Strong understanding of applicable regulations such as SOMSR 2008, CDM, PUWER, LOLER and engineering standards including BS 8888 and BS 2573.
Excellent communication skills with experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.Get in touch now
