A leading international MEP contractor delivering high value hyperscale data centre projects is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a major 40MW facility . This company is known for engineering excellence, advanced prefabrication methods, and consistent delivery across Europe.

This role sits directly under the Lead Engineer, taking ownership of key mechanical packages, supply chain coordination, BIM development, prefabrication strategies, and commissioning support.

Role Overview
Take ownership of multiple major mechanical packages (chillers, adiabatic coolers, pumps, heat exchangers, CRAHs, pipework, etc.).
Produce and manage Technical Submittals and ensure suppliers deliver to programme.
Coordinate with subcontractors, monitor progress, and drive deadlines.
Assist in developing prefabricated pipework modules and skids.
Manage offsite manufacturing, delivery logistics, and QA.
Prefab experience preferred but not essential.
Work closely with BIM specialists, providing technical information, mark-ups, reviews, and issue resolution.
Participate in BIM workshops and ensure the model reflects accurate mechanical design intent.
Attend FATs for major equipment to ensure compliance with specs and performance expectations.
Drive mechanical system readiness, QA signoffs, and handover documentation.
Support commissioning phases under guidance of the commissioning manager.
5+ years in mechanical engineering within large-scale construction.
Data centre experience preferred but not mandatory.
Strong background on major new-build projects (commercial, pharma, industrial, healthcare, municipal).
Confident managing multiple high-value mechanical packages.
