Job Overview:
We are looking for an experiencd Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our clients expanding team for a major project in Amsterdam. The successful candidates will support the mechanical delivery aspects of the project, working closely with the wider project team to ensure successful execution.


Tasks

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct comprehensive mechanical design reviews, identifying gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications and IFC drawings
  • Generate detailed RFI’s to resolve design ambiguities or potential issues
  • Validate equipment sizing (e.g., ductwork, pipework), providing recommendations when necessary
  • Oversee the submittal approvals process, track procurement and delivery of mechanical equipment, and complete verification once delivered
  • Perform system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and management systems
  • Coordinate mechanical services with other disciplines and the project BIM team
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to sub-contracted staff throughout the project
  • Ensure sub-contractor compliance with site and project requirements, including health & safety standards
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
  • Work with the project team to sequence the installation of mechanical systems efficiently and safely
  • Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve problems
  • Manage document control to keep all logs and records up to date


Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:



  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree in Mechanical Engineering). Trade qualifications are an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the mechanical and electrical contracting sector
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems in data center environments
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with contractors on-site
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
